Local Area

Talybont is perfectly situated in Southern Snowdonia and is often referred to as the place where the mountains meet the Sea!  We have the most amazing sunsets and nothing is more perfect than taking a fish and chip supper and watching the rich, golden colours stretch across the acres of sky as the sun disappears!

For outdoor lovers, we have miles upon miles of beautiful walks, ranging from a stroll along the beach, to a more strenuous hike up the stunning mountains.

Other activities include:

Cycling - Paddleboarding - Kayaking - Horse Riding - Golf - Fishing and lots more!

Our local town, Barmouth has a wonderful array of independent shops, cafes pubs and restaurants all of which are within easy walking of each other and nestled by a beautiful harbour where you can indulge in beautiful scenery, watching the boats go by with a delicious ice cream.  Further afield we have Castles, slate mines, steam trains & gardens and much, much more.

Alison & Phill will be happy to share their experiences of the local area and help you choose how to spend your perfect day in our beautiful country.
